JON NIEBUHR
Pastor
Pastor Jon grew up in Norwood, MN. He attended St. John's Lutheran School in Young America & later, Mayer Lutheran High School where he graduated in 1977. He attended Concordia College in St. Paul for 2 years before transferring to St. Cloud State University where he graduated with a degree in Psychology in 1982. He attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO for one year, but returned to Minnesota where he worked in the correctional system for 17 years at the facilities at Oak Park Heights and in Faribault. Also, during this time, he worked as a part-time firefighter for the City of Faribault. In 2002 he was offered a full-time firefighter position where he worked for 7 years until he was injured on the job & was forced to retire from active duty. It was following his retirement from firefighting that he returned to the seminary in St. Louis where he finished his coursework in August 2011. He received his vicarage assignment to Trinity Lutheran Church in Carver, MN where he was later ordained on September 23, 2012 and served prior to being called to Good Shepherd. Pastor Jon met his wife, Jennifer, during his time in St. Cloud. Together they have wife have three children - daughters Erin (husband, Jaime and children, Jorden and Delaney) and Casey (husband, Aksel), and son Shea.
TED STROMING
Director of Christian Education
Ted was called to Good Shepherd in March of 2015. Ted has been in the ministry for 30+ years serving also in Eau Claire, WI and Hutchinson, MN. Ted is known around church for his energy, welcoming heart, and passion to serve. Ted and his wife, Corinna have three children - daughters Leah (husband, Josh and children, Cora, Mila, Ezra and Asa), Caroline (husband, Scott), and son, Andrew.
MARJORIE HEMMANN
Business Manager
Marjorie Hemmann has been a member at Good Shepherd since 1969 and started working in the office in 1972. Secretarial duties along with being our Business Manager (and whatever else needs to be done) have grown during the years. Marjorie has 2 children - Melissa (significant other, Del) and Brandon (wife, Karla), along with 4 grandchildren (Kyle, Kelsey, Dane, and Keira) who are a joy and a blessing to her life.
JENNY PAPKE
Church Secretary
Jenny Papke has been a member of Good Shepherd since 2018 and began working in the church office in December 2021. Jenny and her husband, Eric, live in Hutchinson. They have 2 daughters, Caitlin (husband, Mitchel and son, Hayden) and Mikayla (son, Xander). Jenny and Eric are both 1994 graduates of Glencoe High School (GO EAGLES!) and are active members at Good Shepherd. When Jenny is not working in the office, you can find her serving on the Board of Education and working with our church youth.
